Oregon Pt.2

McMinnville and Cannon Beach are now on my list a small towns worth driving to. We have terrible weather--mist with occasional rain with highs of 60-ish. The wine and food in McMinnville and the art and clothes in Cannon Beach are great (and welcome relief to the dirt and hikes of the National Parks of Utah). Cannon Beach itself is dark brown sand with few pebbles (as opposed to the sandy white sand of the Florida gulf coast). The whole Oregon coast is full of entertaining small villages --Seaside and all the way to the state border at Astoria with lots of beaches, restaurants, hotels and family fun.
Haystack Rock is a feature of Cannon Beach
The galleries in Cannon Beach were great

Seaside had the Miss Oregon pageant going on

They have their good music

The beach with big rocks shooting out

Lewis and Clark ended their exploration in Oregon?

Close to the Canadian Border--Poutine here

They loved their Puffins here

At Cannon Beach RV we were packed in--they had a hot tub too.
