Last night we dingy-ed over to the nearby sailing club, tied off and walked up the path and there was the big resort city of St. Pete Beach. Our phones had told us there was a Publix, Dairy Queen and shopping over in this area but we sorta thought it would be a longer walk. It is such a quiet anchorage. There is a liquor store, restaurant and hotel on every corner. We found a bar called the Rum Runner on the ocean side. Because of my quest to find the best Rum Runner drink in Florida we went back for Happy Hour. A definite B+. Then we had an really good dinner at Silas Dent's. Today we rode our bikes to Passe Grille to a restaurant that we had heard about from my friend/hairdresser Joey about 15 years ago named Sea Critters and had a great lunch. It was a place a lot of the locals must like because many people came by boat (even the twin of Bruce and Carolyn’s 38’ Chriscraft) and they expertly crowded into the docks—this plus the people watching was excellent entertainment..

Twin --this dock was full by the time we left! |

Sea Critters--did not try the Rum Runner because we were on bikes. |
