J Paul Getty Museum

Thursday we went to the J. Paul Getty Museum near Malibu about 45 minutes down the 405 (California talk for Interstate 405) The hit was a tour we took of Impressionist Paintings. Renoir, Matisse, Van Gogh (my Fav), and Post impressionist Ensor. Really neat. We wish we had done more of the guided tours from the first.  Then we drove to Malibu and over Topanga Canyon (Spencer tells us this is where the Manson's hung out when they were fugitives-yuk!). P.S Once a Upon a Time in Hollywood and Echoes in the Canyon are present day movies that talk about that time.
The Getty is HUGE and sits atop an LA mountain

It has artifacts

Lots of boobs (and penis')

This is the rock star of the museum--what everyone comes to see-- Van Gogh's Irises

The stones in this wall are separated by metal bars and makes music if you tap them

In addition, there are gardens (weird trees too)

Probably the best view in LA

Malibu

Too cold for the surfers to be out

Topanga Canyon
