Sue, Hollywood, and The Price is Right

As soon as Sue hit the ground at LAX, we went to Hollywood to check out the tours, the stars walk of fame, and ate at Mel's Dinner (of American Graffiti Fame).  The premier of the movie Captain Marvel was that night so there was some excellent people watching.  There is a 2 hour time difference so by 8PM we were ready to hit the RV and crash.
Grauman's/Mann's Chinese Theatre--lots of premieres here

Good food --I asked about movies shot here and the waitress looked at me and said
"Its Hollywood Honey!"

Stars Walk of Fame

Tuesday we had Price is Right tickets at CBS.  This show has been my guilty pleasure since I retired so, of course, you come to Hollywood you got to go.  Sue needs a new roof and we are looking at new RV's so we have something to play for!  It does make for a long day--CBS is next door to a shopping district called the Grove (home of many upscale shops -think Green Hills) we parked here then  walked over to CBS to stand in line and wait.  We had been told that the crazier you act in line the more likely you will be picked as a contestant.  Our crazy doesn't compare to some.  We had a great time but did not come away with a win.
The Farmer's Market is next door to CBS and The Grove we ate there after The Price is Right
it was really good and let the traffic dissipate

We got our numbers and name tags and waited in line with 297 other people--
two girls we talked to had been there twice before
It was really fun!

The line was full of characters and the person next to us in the audience was the first contestant called.
Our show will air on May 9th.
