Hollywood

Last night my bridge girlfriends called (fom Diann’s house as they were together to play without me). It was fun to talk to Cheryl, Molly, Marsha and Diann. We felt the love, encouragement and well wishes. It is good to know that Nashville buds are doing well and be there when we get back. This morning we did a little laundry and cleaning then around noon we hopped on the Trolley and went into the town of Hollywood along Hollywood Blvd. We have ridden more public transportation on this trip than I can ever remember. There are some old Florida homes along the Blvd that were interesting and the city had a big public kid’s park and a restaurant on every corner. Latin influence is large and we ate at a sidewalk café/bakery called Chocolada. The people watching was great, the lunch even better but the dessert was spectacular. We split a piece of Cappuccino Meringue Cake --yum This was an Hispanic/Italian Bakery –both were evident—and I gained 5 lbs. just looking through the display cases. We then got back on the trolley rode down the beach some and went back to the boat. Our marina is in the Municipal Park right off the ICW and pretty convenient to the beach. Tonight we are going to dinner with an old friend of Fitz’, David Ginnett and his wife and then tomorrow we will head north.
