Miami North to Hollywood

We left mid-morning to start up the Atlantic Inter-Coastal Waterway (AIW). With some bridges to get raised and traffic to weed through we were only going 30 miles but didn’t want to have to be in a hurry. This is truly the land of the rich and opulent. Big boats, huge homes, tall buildings dot the shoreline. Tuesday, April 15th, there is not a lot of people on the water. The bridges we had to have raised were on a schedule (either on the hour or 15 after the hour) so it went smoothly and we were in dock by 2pm. The wind is turning out to be quite a factor on most days. We have not been able to start our grill on the back of the boat since Dunedin. Coming into Hollywood today the wind was blustery, Fitz did a masterful docking job and this is the first time we have been at dock in almost a month—we plan on staying here a couple of days.

Leaving Miami

Big Home, Big Pool

Sunny Isles--never heard of it but had Venice-like canals with homes
