Down Sister Creek in Marathon is a wonderful beach. It is full of people of all ages and has enough trees for those of us that need a little shade. The water is cool but not cold and it faces the Atlantic Ocean. We found a shade tree where a couple around our age that had a radio playing the Oldies (they were playing Beatles—apparently this week in 1964 they had all the top 5 hits—Obla-di-Obla-da) .We relaxed, read and people watched. There were just enough dogs to be amusing and just enough babies to make us miss our Holden and Leeton. Soooo, upon returning to the boat, we Skyped with Katie and the kids and saw what a brilliant dancer Leeton has become and Holden with his sweet kisses. They have birthdays coming up and are going to have a Pirate Party—we are sad to miss what will surely be a great time. We got our fix and moved on to dinner and sunset. There were 2 restaurants suggested and so we dingyed to Burdine’s which offered the best sunset. I discovered there that I am a snob. They only offered wine and beer and the wine was various shades of Barefoot which even in Tennessee is $5.99 a big bottle. The service was terrible and the music was shades of Stringbean Akeman (twang). So we decided to see the sunset and move on. Castaways was a short ride down the canal and had a nice selection of alcohol, great locally caught fish (Fitz had Hog fish and I had the Cobia-yum) and much better music (Beatles, Alan Jackson, America).
