Back in Sarasota we were held up by getting our mail and yet again are delayed. We ordered some charts and oil filters when we first got to Marathon (knowing we would be here two weeks) they still are not here. There are certainly worse places to be stuck. Most of the travelers have moved to the Bahamas or started up the coast but that doesn’t matter —we will get there. They are tracking the filters and they should be here Wed. so it is true –the worst thing a Looper can have is a schedule. Last night we went to Dockside for dinner and the dingy dock was still full. It was Open Mic Night and old hippies went there to play their music and tell their jokes—heard a little John Mellencamp-Cherry Bomb, Nancy Sinatra?!?, and Rich Little---it was fun. This gives me an opportunity to share some other pictures—Marathon may have to name a street for the Fitzpatrick’s as did Key West—it is nice here.
