Mark Two Months and Still Speaking

Two months joined at the hip and it is still all we could have wished. There have been a couple of times we went separate ways to get some space but for the most part it has been good. We are in Marathon for at least a couple more days because the storms and winds have picked up and it would be rough going in unprotected waters. It is 75 degrees and clear, aquamarine water—we won’t make it to the Bahamas this trip but I don’t see how it could get any better than this. Marathon is where we finally got our tans, the beach is fantastic and the biking is on flat ground. Some other declarations made here –give up on the quest for the A+ Rum Runner, no more cheap wine (Barefoot) but we have discovered and enjoyed Meiomi Pinot Noir http://www.meiomiwines.com/ suggested by our friend Karen—and Honey Jack Daniels (Sally and Kae brought us a big bottle in Naples) is a good sipper for movie night or cards. This is our second week with no TV and have not missed it—we kept up with March Madness through the internet and the 2 games we found a bar for viewing --Tennessee Vols lost so we figured it was our fault. Nights we are watching the Season 3 of the Soprano’s and play gin along with good Radio Oldies with Scott Shannon along with reading Tom Clancy, John Grisham, Charles Krauthammer, and Janet Evanovich. Anyway the extra days here might give me a chance to get Vandy HR a chance to decide whether I am On Leave or Unpaid Leave—apparently this is the holdup on paying my benefits—crazy –all I want to do is give them money. It will also give us a chance to get in the oil filters Fitz needs—he ordered them online 15 days ago and they are on the slow UPS truck to Marathon—when you trace the route they went through Columbus, Ga and Columbus, MS! I will get some scanning done if I can bring myself inside and Fitz will change the oil--life on the water.
Beautiful Sunset the night before the storm

War is Hell
