Shore Day

We have hit many of the high spots of Annapolis that are on the waterfront so we decided to venture out on the public transportation to the suburbs of the city. What fun. Going to shore we got to watch the kids Parade of Sailboats and kayaks waving American flags and singing God Bless America--inspiring. We decided to go to the Annapolis Harbor Mall because the Jersey Boys Movie was showing there and we could do that plus a little shopping. The bus was easy and entertaining (even though we got on the wrong bus and had to transfer to get to our destination-long story). The drivers were chatty and drove like a bat out of hell (little scary as Leeton would say). The Jersey Boys was a perfect way to enjoy an indoor day. We had seen the play a few years ago and play the soundtrack CD often but the movie (if you don’t spend the whole time on comparisons) was great. That said—the real find was a store called the PA. Dutch Market. A huge store (seemed like twice the size of Green Hills Kroger) run by the young Amish girls about 18-30 yr. old that had homemade salads, meats (prepared or raw), bakery items etc…. It was very crowded but we bought some fresh pasta and some cheese for the 4th. If we are here this weekend we will return. We are going to a fellow Looper’s boat this evening who will probably have a better fireworks view and will take our new rations. Thanks to all of you who have checked in –while it is windy here we are safely tucked in and will remain so until the seas calm.

  1. Went to see Jersey Boy's on my birthday on the 3rd. The music and story was great but the language was a bit raw for me. Need to clean that up.
